ROFESSOR LOUIE & THE CROWMATIX Rock ‘n’ Roll Barn - CD Single From the CD “Music From Hurley Mountain” to be released spring 2015 Rock ‘n’ Roll Barn is the first single from Professor Louie & The Crowmatix CD “Music From Hurley Mountain”. The new CD has fourteen Americana songs reflecting the lives and historic events of the agricultural community of close-knit families and stories of the folks who spent their time here in Ulster County, NY. Throughout the Hudson Valley many barns have been turned into recording studios, galleries, concert and dance halls, meeting rooms and gathering places. In 1982, an old cow barn was converted into a recording studio in historic Hurley, NY providing a space for local & traveling musicians to record. Grammy nominated Professor Louie & The Crowmatix recorded this CD single at LRS Recording Studio in their Hurley Barn. The Crowmatix came into existence working on studio productions for the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame group The Band with Aaron Professor Louie Hurwitz who collaborated with The Band for over fifteen years producing, engineering and performing with individual members. Professor Louie lead vocal, keyboards - Miss Marie vocals, percussion - Gary Burke drums - Frank Campbell bass, vocals - John Platania guitar - Josh Colow guitar. Rock ‘n’ Roll Barn written by Professor Louie & Miss Marie is now available on iTunes and all Digital Download stores. Rock ‘ n’ Roll Barn was recorded at LRS Recording Studio located in the middle of a farm across from Hurley Mountain where Aaron “Professor Louie” Hurwitz and many engineers & producers in the Hudson Valley recorded & continue to record with legendary & local musicians.
