If you're out on the west coast or planning a vacation this season, head out to The Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa, CA on June 10th & 11, 2011. A great weekend of Music, Arts, Crafts , Dance and more... Jesse McReynolds will perform with The David Nelson Band on Friday night June 10th as part of a special tribute to Jerry Garcia.
Jesse McReynolds & Friends have a new CD Songs Of the Grateful Dead which was released this year on Woodstock Records .
This CD is a tribute to Jerry Garcia & Robert Hunter - thirteen songs recorded by one of our greatest music legends Jesse McReynolds. Jesse - mandolin innovator and stylist is known for his singing, arranging, songwriting and musical wizardry. Jesse McReynolds & his brother Jim (Jim & Jesse) had numerous honors including being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame's "Walkway of Stars." A 45 yr. veteran of the Grand Ole Opry and Grammy winner, Jesse also co-wrote the beautiful song Day By Day with Robert Hunter for this CD.
David Nelson is a special guest on the new tribute CD and Jesse will perform with The David Nelson Band as part of this musical event.
